Caring for Your Piece

Every Vigatour piece is an artefact: made to order for you, and made to be kept. Cared for well, it will age with you and, one day, be passed on. Here is how to look after it.

The Vigatour way

  • Wash at 20°C. Cold is kindest, and we never recommend going above 30°C.
  • Wash less. Most pieces only need washing after several wears; often, airing them is enough.
  • Turn it inside out to protect the colour, the print and the embroidery.
  • Choose a gentle cycle, with similar colours.
  • Let it air-dry. Skip the tumble dryer.
  • Never iron over embroidery or print. Iron on the reverse, on a low setting.
  • No bleach.

Treat it respectfully and it will last.

Piece by piece

The T-shirts

Der Klassiker Ringer in white with black trim, worn outdoors in a London park. Vigatour Mark I

Der Klassiker Ringer

100% combed ring-spun cotton, with chain-stitch embroidery at the chest and sleeve.

Wash inside out at 20°C on a gentle cycle and hang to dry. Iron on the reverse only, so the embroidery keeps its raised texture.

Man wearing La Vee outdoors beside a tree, with the gold and burgundy embroidered Vigatour script. Vigatour Mark I

La Vee

Tri-blend of polyester, cotton and rayon, with gold and burgundy embroidery.

Light and soft, so heat is its enemy. Wash inside out at 20°C on a gentle cycle and hang to dry.

Knitwear

Man wearing the Bacha Amazigh Cardigan, seated at a wooden table. Vigatour Mark I

The Bacha Amazigh Cardigan

55% cotton, 45% polyester jacquard knit, 450 g/m².

Wash at 20°C on a gentle or wool cycle, or by hand. Always dry it flat, and fold it rather than hang it, so the knit keeps its shape.

Sweats

Man wearing the Core V Sweatshirt in Forest Green under a trench coat, outdoors. Vigatour Mark I

Core V Sweatshirt

Cotton-face, three-end fleece (65% cotton, 35% polyester), 288 g/m².

Wash inside out at 20°C with similar colours. Air-dry to keep the fleece soft and the shape true. Iron on the reverse, never over the crest.

Desert Dust Hoodie, close-up of the gold embroidered Vigatour crest and sleeve detail. Vigatour Mark I

Desert Dust Hoodie

100% organic cotton, 350 g/m², with an embroidered crest.

Organic cotton loves the cold. Wash inside out at 20°C, reshape it while damp and let it air-dry. Iron on the reverse, never over the crest.

Outerwear

Man wearing the Pan African Heritage Bomber Jacket on a city street. Vigatour Mark I

Pan African Heritage Bomber Jacket

100% polyester, printed and hand-sewn to order, with a brushed fleece inside and a silver YKK zip.

Close the zip, turn it inside out and wash at 20°C on a gentle cycle. Hang to dry. Never iron over the print.

Accessories

Woman wearing the British Heritage Corduroy Hat in Oxford Navy on a residential street. Vigatour Mark I

British Heritage Corduroy Hat

100% cotton corduroy, with a soft, unstructured crown.

Spot clean first with a damp cloth. If it needs more, a gentle hand wash at 20°C is kindest. Reshape it and let it air-dry.

The Lifetime Care Guarantee

Every piece is covered for life.

  • Your first two repairs are complimentary, postage included, with no time limit. A seam restored in year five is treated the same as in month five. This covers fair wear and tear: a seam, stitching, a lining, a zip.
  • From the third repair onwards, work is at honest fixed costs of £15–£50, always confirmed before anything begins.
  • Accidents happen. Damage from an accident or from washing against the care note, isn’t covered free of charge, but we will still gladly repair it at our fixed rates. We would rather your piece lived on.
  • If a piece cannot be repaired, our Renewal option lets you return it and take its replacement from the current range at cost. Your original is retired with respect, never resold.
  • Genuine faults are always on us under your two-year warranty, and never count against your complimentary repairs.
  • The guarantee follows the piece, even into the hands you pass it down to.

Please let us do the repairs. Repairs or alterations by anyone else end the remaining complimentary repairs for that piece.

How to request a repair

  1. Email hello@vigatour.co.uk with your order reference and photos of what needs care.
  2. We classify the repair from your photos and confirm the next steps, and any cost, before work begins.
  3. Most repairs are back with you within three weeks, and we keep you updated at every stage.

Full details are in our FAQs.

Passing it on

A well-kept piece can outlive its first owner. When yours is ready for a new home, give it to someone who will value its story. The guarantee goes with it.

We would rather care for your piece for decades than sell you one you didn’t need.

  • Lifetime Care Guarantee
