And that is by design.

This piece is in homage to one of our first supporters, Vee (the nickname of Vaishnavi). She was there at the beginning, among our first believers and that kind of presence deserves something permanent. Not a passing thank-you. A whole line of clothing, named for her.

Vee believed before there was a brand to believe in. Honoured and grateful does not quite cover what we owe her. But it is the truest place to start.

She is Tamil. And so is the thread that runs through this shirt.

The Thread, Unbroken

The Tamil people carry one of the world's oldest classical languages, with an unbroken literary tradition stretching back more than two thousand years. Sangam poetry, balancing the inner life with outer valour. Thiruvalluvar's Thirukkural, distilling human conduct into 1,330 couplets that still teach today. The maritime courts of the Chola Empire. The temple corridors of Kanchipuram, raised stone by stone over centuries.

Three Tones, Three Civilisations

The La Vee arrives to you in three earth tones, each anchored to a foundational civilisation that wrote stories the rest of human history is still reading.

Mustard — Tamil Civilisation. The gold of preservation. The ceremonial hue of turmeric the Tamil people have never stopped wearing.

Clay — Ancient Mesopotamia. The origin of the text. A deep, raw tone mirroring the very tablets into which humanity's first written words were pressed.

Tan — Ancient Egypt. The vessel of longevity. The sun-baked warmth of papyrus, carrying thoughts meant to outlast time itself.

The Signature

Over the heart sits a Vigatour script in gold thread outlined in burgundy — the palette of Kanchipuram silk and ceremonial kumkum. Colours of devotion and threshold.

MK I sits on the left sleeve. XXVI on the right. Together, they mark this quietly as a 2026 edition. Whichever tone you choose, Vee's heritage remains the literal thread.
