FAQs
The House
What is Vigatour?
A cultural travel house and a cultural archive you can wear. Vigatour exists because you matter and you deserve to remember that. We believe every person on Earth carries a valuable culture within them, and we are custodians of that story. We tell the stories of the world's peoples through the Cultured Journeys series and we make heirloom garments — wearable artefacts — that carry you across cultures, one piece at a time. We are not a fashion brand. We make timepieces, not products.
What is Mark I?
Our Genesis collection — the first edition. We treat clothing as a living record of humanity, a modern Bayeux Tapestry, and each Mark I piece is a panel in it: the Bacha Amazigh Cardigan honouring the Amazigh people of North Africa, the Pan African Heritage Bomber honouring the Pan-African Movement, the La Vee tee honouring Tamil heritage and one of our first believers, the Foundry Hoodie and British Heritage Corduroy Hat drawn from Industrial Britain, the Der Klassiker Ringer, the Desert Dust Hoodie, and the Core V Sweatshirts — eight panels drawing on the eras and civilisations that moved the world forward. Some pieces will stay as permanent fixtures of the house; others will be rotated out as new chapters open. First editions carry the origin story — one day, these will be collector's items.
What comes after Mark I?
Mark II. We build in eras, not seasons — collections like chapters, never trends — and Mark I has years of life in it first. When the next chapter opens, the cultured club hears it first.
Where can I watch Cultured Journeys?
On Instagram and TikTok at @vigatour. Each episode tells the story of a people — their history, their resistance, their contribution to the human story. The clothing honours the cultures; the journeys teach them. Start anywhere. Every episode stands on its own.
Made to Order & Delivery
What does "made to order" mean?
Every Vigatour piece is made for you, by us — including all the items made with embroidery and print. We care about sustainability and the environment and this is why the made-to-order model forms how we distribute our items to you. You deserve a piece made for you — an artefact that is built to last.
How long will my order take?
Most pieces are delivered within 7–9 business days; every order arrives within two weeks, with tracking provided. Made to order does not mean slow — it means a carefully curated piece that is yours.
How do I track my order?
Every order ships with tracking, sent to your email. If your tracking hasn't arrived or something looks unusual, write to us and we will look into it personally.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Contact us at hello@vigatour.co.uk as soon as you can. Because production begins quickly on made-to-order pieces, we cannot promise changes — but if your piece has not yet entered production, we will do everything we can to adjust the size, colour, or address for you. The sooner you write, the more we can do.
Can I request a custom piece?
Not at this stage. But we do welcome new ideas — every person carries a valuable culture within them and if you would like to see yours represented, tell us. The items you see online tell the cultural stories we feel are important at present, but co-collaboration matters to us and your ideas and thoughts are valuable. Contact us at hello@vigatour.co.uk and your message will be read personally.
Sizing & Fit
How do I choose the right size?
We suggest ordering one size up. Our focus is on you having an item that lasts with time and is truly yours and every product page carries a full size guide in inches and centimetres if you prefer a closer fit, plus a fit note specific to that piece. Read both. The Bacha Amazigh Cardigan is a unisex fit from 2XS to 3XL. The Foundry Hoodie is intentionally oversized. If you are unsure, email us before ordering (hello@vigatour.co.uk) or message us on Instagram or TikTok @vigatour. We would far rather help you get it right the first time than send you an item you are unhappy with.
Do your pieces run true to size?
Fit is deliberate and varies by piece, which is why each page carries its own fit note. When in doubt, ask. A piece made for you should fit you.
Materials, Craft & Care
What are Vigatour pieces made from?
Artefacts being "Built to Last" is one of standards and it begins with materials. Each piece is built from fabrics chosen for the story it carries and the decades it must last — iconic buildings stand for centuries because of how well they are built and our clothing follows the same principle. The Bacha Amazigh Cardigan is a jacquard knit, 55% cotton / 45% polyester at 450 g/m². The Desert Dust Hoodie is GOTS-certified organic cotton. The Foundry Hoodie blends 80% cotton with 20% recycled polyester. Full details live on every product page.
Where are Vigatour pieces made?
Transparency is one of our four standards. Our pieces are produced globally by trusted partners, with a focus on quality, traceability and ethical production — and every product page shows where that garment is made and how it is finished. The Bacha Amazigh Cardigan, for example, is sourced and fulfilled in China. We hold ourselves to raising the standard and if you have a question about any piece's supply chain, ask us directly.
Is made to order sustainable?
It is the foundation of our clothing model. We only make what has been asked for — no overstock, no landfill runs, no warehouse of unwanted garments. Select pieces carry certifications (the Desert Dust Hoodie holds GOTS, OCS, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and PETA-Approved Vegan). This is our baseline, not our ceiling.
How do I care for my piece?
Each product page carries a care note written for that piece. The general rule across the house: wash cold, wash less and let the piece age with you. These artefacts are built to last decades — a little care goes a very long way and we are always happy to advise on caring for a specific piece.
Pricing & Payment
How much do Mark I pieces cost?
From £35 (Der Klassiker Ringer and the British Heritage Corduroy Hat) to £130 (the Bacha Amazigh Cardigan). All prices in GBP, taxes included.
Do you run sales or discounts?
We don't run seasonal sales or promotional codes — not at launch, not at Christmas, not ever. We don't chase trends and we don't chase seasons; this is slow fashion designed with gravitas. The price on day one is the honest price and it stays honest. A piece bought at full price is never devalued by a sale six weeks later. That is part of what you are buying.
How can I pay?
All major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Shop Pay and Klarna.
Shipping
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — to more than sixty countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania. Free UK shipping applies on artefact baskets above £50.
Will I pay customs or import duties?
International orders may attract customs duties or import taxes depending on your country. These are set by your government, not by us and are the recipient's responsibility — they are not included in the product price.
Returns, Repairs & the Lifetime Care Guarantee
Can I return a made-to-order piece if I change my mind?
No. Every Vigatour piece is produced specifically for your order — it does not exist until you ask for it — and made-to-order and personalised items are exempt from change-of-mind returns (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Regulation 28). This is why we ask you to choose with intention: read the size guide, read the fit note and ask us anything at all before you order — we will answer personally. A piece made for you cannot be unmade. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under UK law.
What if my piece arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect?
Then putting it right is our duty — and we move fast. Email hello@vigatour.co.uk with your order number, a brief description and photos; we aim to respond within two business days and to fully resolve every genuine fault within 14 days. Faulty goods are repaired, replaced or refunded at our cost, in line with your statutory rights (including the 30-day right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
A fault means a defect in materials or making. Damage that occurs after delivery — accidents, misuse or washing against the care note — is not a fault and is looked after instead under the Lifetime Care Guarantee's repair service (per our Refund policy and Terms of service). We assess claims on photos and may ask for the piece to be returned to us for inspection before a claim is approved.
Can Vigatour pieces be repaired?
Yes — every piece is covered by the Vigatour Lifetime Care Guarantee. Your first two repairs are complimentary, postage included, with no time limit: a seam restored in year five is treated the same as in month five. Complimentary repairs cover fair wear and tear from normal use and proper care, at the minor and standard level — a seam, stitching, a lining, a zip. Complex restorations — significant damage, or several repairs in one visit — are always at our fixed rates, whichever repair it is. From the third repair onwards, all work is at those honest fixed costs (£15–£50, always confirmed before any work begins, and we classify each repair from your photos). As a guide, most repairs are back with you within three weeks and we keep you updated at every stage.
Damage caused by accident, misuse or care against the care note isn't covered at no charge — but we will still gladly repair it under the fixed-cost service, because we would rather your piece live on. Repairs or alterations by anyone other than Vigatour end the remaining complimentary repairs for that piece.
And if your piece cannot be repaired — or is no longer in circulation — we offer a Renewal option: return it to us and take its replacement from the current range at cost. Not a discount. The price it takes us to make it, nothing more. Your original is retired with respect, never resold.
Genuine faults are always on us under your two-year warranty and never count against your complimentary repairs. And the guarantee follows the piece — even into the hands you pass it down to. We would rather care for your piece for decades than sell you one you didn't need. Full details on our policy page or write to hello@vigatour.co.uk.
The cultured club & Community
What is the cultured club?
Not an inner circle — the opposite. The cultured club is everyone who believes cultures deserve to be understood with care: the people who watch the journeys, wear the pieces and pass both on. Vigatour makes clothing so you belong — and the club is where that belonging lives. There is no password and no velvet rope. Join by email at vigatour.com and you will hear from us when there is something worth hearing. Welcome to the cultured club.
I'm from a culture you've featured — can I contribute?
We would be honoured to hear from you. Cultured Journeys and Commentaries are built with care and voices from within each culture which make the work truer. Cultural consultants are credited by name on the episodes or commentary journals they shape. Write to hello@vigatour.co.uk or message @vigatour — your knowledge is welcome here.
Do you sell anywhere other than vigatour.com?
No — vigatour.com is our home and the only place Vigatour pieces are made and sold. If you see Vigatour offered elsewhere, it is not from us. Wear the original.
Questions we haven't answered? hello@vigatour.co.uk — every message is read by a person. You can also follow us on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook (@vigatour).
